Over 10,000 hits and still going strong! This is my little corner of the world wide web... if you don't like what I have to say then stay out of my corner :) Here's what we've been up to ....

Joey with his loot! I can't believe how much this kid got, and he'll probably never eat all of it. Oh well, I'm sure some of it will disappear by morning......... hehehehehehehe!
Its October 31 and little ghosts are out,
Open your door and hear them shout
“Trick or Treat, I want something to eat”
“Get the hell off my porch, before you get beat”
“I have no spirit, no candy for you,
So don’t even bother saying BOO!
Just get off my porch and run away quick,
Cause I’ve got a really good child beating stick”
As the kids run away, they drop all their stuff
I love it, I’ll take it, I just can’t get enough!
It works like a charm, and I really don’t care!
So come onto my porch, go ahead… if you dare!!!
written by me!
Ok people, I really do have Halloween spirit, I just wanted to do something a bit different for the season. I have kids, so I enjoy the dressing up and begging for sugary stuff that I won’t let my kids eat…. That’s what makes Halloween so wonderful!

This past Saturday, we braved the cold, rainy weather and headed out to party at Matt & Melissa's. It was a great night, and yes - I had LOTS to drink! Everyone had fun, and there were some awesome costumes there! I tried to get pics of everyone, but I think I may have missed a few. Some pics are again being kept for my "private" collection.... remember that I will resort to blackmail if the need arises! I also am not sure if I have all the names right - I met a few new people, so if I have your name wrong I'm sorry! It really was great to meet you all, and I'm looking forward to the next party!!!

Matt & Mark mixing shooters.... yummy!
Tina & Ike.... aka Julie & Ian
Funnel time! Something that I'm not brave enough to do!
This is Melissa's brother.... I knew I'd forget his name! Sorry!
The Pimp & Tina.... what's Ike up to???
A little bit of an oops, but Matt took care of it!
The Parrott Boys!
My dirty Mexican! He looks drunk, but he was SOBER!!!
This is Jason's personal touch on Nacho Libre... if you've seen the movie and you know Jay, then you'll understand why this costume was sooooo funny!
Costume confusion... a pimp, Tina, whats up with that?!
Biker Chick.... Chrissy's shirt strap broke and the feather boa just wasn't doing the job!

I have no idea what they were doing here... I was drunk by now :)

Yep, that's my boy! Yesterday was crazy hair day at school, and you should have seen some of the kids there! There was every colour of the rainbow, but Joey was the only one who really had a hair style! He was cool! It took lots of gel, wax and hairspray to get it to go like this, then we added blue glitter to make it funky - and shiny! I would have loved to colour it, but... well, maybe next time :)

And here's Joey today, with crazy bed head! He went to bed sooo late last night, and I didn't want to wash his hair right before going to bed. We wrapped his pillow in a towel so it wouldn't get all gross, and off to bed he went. This is how he looked this morning! I think he suits this style! I had to wash his hair twice this morning to get the stuff out and its still kinda greasy... Maybe next time I'll just get him a wig!!!

This is how Christopher fell asleep today... I didn't set this one up, he was playing and fell asleep like this! The bottle is Joey's bank, and its really heavy, so I was surprised when Christopher was moving it around. Anyways, I guess it tired him out because after 2 or 3 minutes he was out - and I was getting the camera! Too cute to pass up!I've come up with a few ideas.... but nothing is original. There's little orphan Annie, Anne of Green Gables, Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (dressed up, not the hooker!), or Raggedy Anne. Yep, they all have red hair, so I'm trying to work with that. And why are they all called Ann(i)e, except Julia Roberts who was called Vivian!? Anyways, you get the idea - I have the hair, so why not work with it? I'll figure something out!
Kids are good, weather sucks, Prison Break is awesome, that's my life so far this week! I don't really have much to say today, so I'm done!
P.S. If you have any ideas for my Halloween costume, let me know!!!

Today was Christopher's baptism, and I have to say - he was absolutely lovely today, and so well behaved! He didn't even cry, just kind of gave me a look as the priest was pouring the water on his head... that little look said "what's this guy doing to me? I don't need my hair washed!" But its over and done now. He didn't burst into flames when the holy water hit his skin, and he didn't smoke & burn when the oil was put on his forehead, so I guess he's not the little devil that I thought he was!
I learned something today - even when you think you are prepared for company, you're really not! I didn't buy enough food (we ran out of cheese as well as buns and had to use wonder bread, classy!), made everyone make their own coffee (what kind of host am I?!) and almost ran out of cutlery! But somehow I think it still worked! We had a wonderful day and I hope that everyone else did too.
I want to thank Shawn & Kristan for being Christopher's godparents - now we have lots of witnesses who heard you guys today saying that you would be responsible for him... can you be responsible for his college/university education?!?!?! No, seriously, thanks a bunch! And thanks Kristan for making the cake! It was beautiful as well as tasty!
To everyone else - thanks for being there to watch Chris at his christening. I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as we did!

Here's a few pics from our trip to Strom's pumpkin farm today.... perfect day for it! It wasn't busy, and we didn't get rained on! We enjoyed a wagon ride through the fields, played in the pumpkins, watched some pumpkin chuckin' and got lost (ok, not all of us got lost!) in the corn maze! It was a great time, and I'm sure it's going to become an annual event for all of us! And afterwards we all went back to Rene's where I learned how to play dice. Next time, I tell ya, next time I will WIN!
Ok, so I'm not artsy like Kevie, but I like to take pics like this!
Here's my little punkin - Chris!
Here's my other punkin - Joey!
Ok, this isn't one of my punkins - but it looks kinda evil with the leaves for eyes and the big, open mouth just yelling "get that camera outta my face"!

This is Joey and his best friend Griffin - it was a complete coincidence when we saw them there, and Joey just loved it! Its been a while since they've seen each other, but you'd never know it to see them together... they just took off together to the nearest mud puddle!
This is Mark & Anna trying some pumpkin chuckin - hope your butt doesn't hurt too much from falling backwards Mark! Don't feel bad, I fall backwards when I bowl... or I throw the ball backwards... either way, its embarrasing!
Kim wasn't too impressed with this, um, thingy. Kinda all warts and crap... ew.
This little cutie is Abigail! She is so cute, and she has red hair! Notice all the pink... I try to keep pink to a minimum on the boys!
This is Matt and his little guy Carson. This was taken in the corn maze, after the guys found us when we were lost! Thanks guys!

This is Rene and his daughter Jade... we know you're tall Rene, but the hair makes me really jealous! I'm gonna do that to my hair just to be taller too!
Here's Joey and Carson standing still for one minute! Not sure if either one of them really stopped going tonight! We were all just having too much fun, especially them!
This is Adrian... and he's almost as tall as me! He is Carson and Abigails brother, and he's great with the little ones! Joey loved him!
Joey in the big pumpkin - nope, its not a kid litter box, its just a place for them to crawl through!
Yep, Joey again! He's such a ham!
A lonely little punkin - we passed him on the wagon ride and I just had to take his picture!
So that's it for pumpkin farm pictures.... until next year! There's gonna be a lot of pictures over the next few days, so be patient with me while I get them all uploaded. Its Christopher's christening tomorrow, so the camera will be busy!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

This picture was taken last Christmas by Uncle Kevie. For some strange reason we have very few pictures of Grandma with the kids.... or with anyone for that matter! She is very much like me and doesn't like to have her picture taken! Anyways, happy birthday mom! I still don't understand how you can be 21 again, when I'm 30 already!Wednesday, October 18, 2006

These pictures were taken on boxing day last year, when Christopher was only 11 days old. He's sleeping in a beautiful cradle that Mr. Uncle Tom made himself. Very well done, and I have to say that we would have to wedge little old Chris in there now... he's a bit on the hefty side!Ok, thats it for today. Thanks for the emails people and hope you like these pics!
P.S. We'll see you on Sunday Uncle Tom, maybe you can take more pics then for me to post here!
The first thing that I came across was my old high school kilt - good ol' Bennies blue! I can't believe that I still have it, and I really can't believe that I ever fit into it!!! I even had extra holes put into the buckles because it was too big for me! Crazy stuff! It made me think of lots of stuff... cards in the hallway, poker in the caf during spares, decorating lockers for birthdays and breaking into lockers for birthdays(!), melting m&m's with Ines, disecting pigs in science (ew), and so much more! Oh to be young again and not have a care in the world!
Next thing was a bridesmaid dress that I wore for Maureen & Brian's wedding in, I think, 1994. That was a fun day! Even though Maureen is my aunt, she and Lorraine are more like sisters to me. It made me think of growing up with them back in Scotland... going to Asda and getting the free record that Rice Krispies were offering (Total Eclipse of the Heart!), listening to Spandau Ballet and Thompson Twins, and how they never made fun of me when I pretended to be Boy George and sang along with Culture Club! We used to listen to the top ten and watch Top of the Pops, walk to the chip shop where Edie knew exactly what I always wanted. There are so many little things that I remember about growing up with them, and I can't list them all, but I thank Lorraine & Maureen for just letting me be me... silliness and all!
Then I found a gift that I received for Christmas about 12 years ago.... a very special and thoughtful gift. I have always liked homemade stuff, and Kim decided that year to make me a sweatshirt and personalize it for me. Its a peach/pink colour and oh so very pretty with my name on it and other creative effects that she put on there as a 7 year old. I'm sure I wore it that day, and maybe one other time, but I must have put it into my closet to keep it safe?!?! Anyways, it made me think about the day Kim was born, when my dad called and told me first that I had a baby sister! I cried, and all I thought about was all the stuff that sisters can do together, all the fun we could have! I never thought about the 11 year difference, all I cared about was my little sister. Anyways, looking at the sweatshirt, I thought about Kim at 7 years old, how she was so sweet and innocent and that she hadn't yet been corrupted by the world! I think about her now, and I am so thankful that she has never stopped being sweet and is only corrupted a little bit! She is a strong person, with such a great personality, that I consider myself very lucky to have her as a friend as well as a sister. Maybe I'll wear the sweatshirt this Christmas....
Would I ever go back to the days when I was in high school and had nothing to worry about? Do I ever wish I had done anything differently? Nope, because at the back of my closet hangs my wedding dress. It made me think about that day 8 years ago when Jason and I got married, and all of the good stuff that's happened since then. Even though life isn't perfect, I have a wonderful husband, two incredible kids, and I know I'm lucky to have them.
So that kilt, bridesmaids dress, sweatshirt and wedding dress helped to shape me into the person that I am today. Yep, I put them all back into the closet. No way can I ever part with any of them.
And I even found something to wear for the christening!

This kitty is Boots, and she's a little camera shy! She doesn't stop for too long to get her picture taken, and she's not usually around when the kids are playing... needless to say we don't get to see her too often! Not sure what kind of kitty she is , but she's about 11-12 years old and is REALLY fluffy (yeah, people, its fluff, not fat!)!
This is our doggie Farley! He's a 9 year old alaskan malamute, and is crazy like you wouldn't believe! He's actually afraid of the camera! Every little beep and click from it and he starts whining and crying... so its hard for me to take pics without getting him upset! He doesn't bark, he likes to talk to you and we've gotten him to say I Love You! Really cute! He shed's like you wouldn't believe, and in the winter he loves to go outside and play in the snow.
These doggies aren't members of our family, but Joey wishes that they were! This pic was emailed to us by Mr. Uncle Tom, and these boys are Max & Indie. Joey loves to play with these puppies, and they really are great with him! They live waaaaaaaaay up north in Durham, so Joey doesn't get to see them too often, but he looks forward to when he can see them.
These interesting little guys belong to our friends Kristan & Shawn. Pierre and Enzo are tree frogs, and are pretty cool (doesn't mean I'll touch them!)! They can change colour, and they can jump pretty far! Joey likes to play with them and have them hanging around on him... Pierre has even been on his head! They also have another tree frog named Treecel which Joey found when he was at the trailer and insisted on bringing him home to play with Pierre and Enzo. Yep, our son is soooo thoughtful! We can't forget to say hello to Stretch as well, the ferret who lives with all these froggies, but doesn't eat them!So that's a few of our family (and friends!). I hope you've enjoyed this little view into the rest of our world... maybe I'll have to get out and get more pics to show you some more! If you can think of something you want to see here, let me know!
