Today my little guy is 3. I can't believe that Chris is 3. Seriously - time really does fly when you have kids! Anyways, we had his little birthday party yesterday and he had a blast. He LOVES anything that is Diego, so most of his presents were Diego. He's a very happy little boy :)

Here's some pictures from his party.

So the countdown begins - 10 days till Christmas!

Well, I survived! Today was Joey's birthday party and what a day it was!!! I swear that I have never heard anything quite as loud as this group of boys were today.... unbelievable. And some of the things that the kids were saying.... unbelievable. Anyways - overall it was a great afternoon. Joey was such a perfect child today, had great manners and said please & thank you for everything. He was very appreciative of every gift that he got, and I am so thankful that he was. I am glad that its over, but you never know.... maybe we'll do it again next year ;)

Here's some pictures from today's special event :)

And here's the boys singing happy birthday to Joey!

So now its all over until next weekend when we do Christopher's birthday. Sunday 2-4, feel free to drop by & say hello and have a piece of Diego cake :)

Tonight was family night at Christophers daycare. They had activities for the kids, food and treats, and, of course, a big jolly guy in a red suit for the kids to see! Here's a few pictures that we took.
Christopher enjoying the chili that they were serving

Joey showing off his cookie & sprinkles... I think he ended up eating more sprinkles than he got on his cookie!

Christopher showing off his cookie... 2 seconds before devouring it!

Licking the sprinkles off the plate, had to get every last crumb :)

Me with the boys & Santa, or HoHo as Chris calls him!
Chris finally got brave enough to get close to Santa on his own - we had to bribe him to go back so we could get a picture!

The boys with the presents that they got from Santa.
All in all, a wonderful night :) Thanks Kinsmen Centre!!!

Today was a busy day! Good day, but non-stop :) Work was busy - considering the market is supposed to be slowing down, I'm not. Maybe its just the November month-end closings coming in now, but this week has been busy so far. And that's a good thing!

I had to leave work early today for Christophers speech therapy. He's doing well, and we're learning tips & tricks to help him with his speech. He's saying more words now, and will put the end sounds on words if you prompt him (ant instead of an, eat instead of ea). We're applying for him to be put into a specialized kindergarten program, one run through Kidsability where he'll continue getting therapy as well as the regular learning offered at a "regular" school. Chris is still WAY too young to go to school, so this would be awesome for him. We'll find out in March if he's been accepted. Lots of people apply (so far over 90) and there's only 16 spots available. Wish us luck :)

And Joey. My goodness, I'm so very proud of him!!!!!!! Not only was his report card wonderful but tonight we had an awesome meeting with his teacher, Mrs. R. She told us that Joey is doing wonderfully, getting along with everyone, and that he's reading at an end of Grade 3 level! Considering he had such a hard time reading last year, that's quite an achievement for him. She also said that his writing has improved so much in just the last week or so, since his report card came out. I figure his writing will be like his reading - one day it will just click with him and it will all make sense. He'll realize that all the letters mean something, and that grammar, punctuation and spelling make all the difference. He's doing SO WELL!!! Way to go Joey!!!

She was showing us a letter that he wrote to Santa. We got to see his working copy, and his presentable copy is on the wall outside his classroom. We had to giggle when we looked at the spelling on his working copy... he asked for a "fuckee"!!! Its actually called a Funkey (something like a webkin I guess), but this is how he sounded it out! Quite entertaining :) Oh, the things kids write (and say, and do!)

It was also the Royal Doulton open house tonight. I wasn't sure if I was going to make it, considering the interview tonight, but I did! And Auntie Laney would be mad - the beautiful candle holder she bought was tonights thank you gift! So I now have the matching one... I'll put a nice candle in it and think of you every time I light it :)

Saturday is Joey's birthday party. We confirmed everything with the theatre last night, so there's no backing out now! Joey's excited. It's his first birthday party - 7 years old and its his first party, how sad is that? Its so hard to have a birthday party when your birthday is on December 20th, so we're doing it really early. I'm surprised with the turn out - we now have 9 kids coming! I hope I can make it through the afternoon.... all those boys hopped up on pizza, pop and birthday cake, then sitting through a movie with popcorn & candy..... what have I gotten myself into?!?! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures (as usual!) and post some on here for you all to see. Still can't believe my baby's going to be 7!

Ok, I'm getting tired and kinda cold. Guess I should wait until I'm going to bed before turning down the heat! Good night!

Slideshow!

Enjoy the pictures everyone :)
