How funny is that..... I can so see this happening at my house :)

P.S. I'm supposed to tell everyone that Jason's posting pictures again - check his site!

I learned a lesson yesterday - I learned that if I am using our old fashioned rotary phone, then I need to pay attention to what is going on in the living room instead of standing in the doorway poking at the bunny cage....

Long story short, I was on the phone and Chris came up to me and pulled on my sweater. He said "Mom, me poop". So I said sorry, but I gotta let you go, Chris has to poop. Then Chris said "me poop, me put my poop in the garbage".!!!!! Huh?! What!!!! Yep, he was telling the truth. The kid pooped in his pants (oh yeah, he's been toilet-trained, somewhat, within the last week, yay!), scooped out the poop with a babywipe and put it in the garbage. Oh my goodness, what am I going to do with this kid?! Anyways, we got him cleaned up, flushed the poop, got him ready for bed, and explained that poop belongs in the toilet, not the garbage.

Lesson learned. I should write a book about this crap.... get it?! Crap, get it?! Hehehe :)

I bet everyone has read the email about immigrants in Canada and how they're taking over. About "Canadians" being a minority, and the English language disappearing only to be replaced by a few dozen foreign languages. Well, here's someone's who is actually doing something about it, rather than sending out an email to millions of people and waiting for nothing to happen. Read this article and then tell me what you think...

No English, No Stamps

Ok, so it may be in England, but its the exact same situation here. I have nothing against diversity, I am NOT a racist, but I believe that if you are going to live in Canada then you should at least make an effort to "fit in". I'm not saying give up your heritage and everything that you have ever known, and to become a Canadian. I believe that you can be Canadian without being a citizen.... I'm not a Canadian citizen, but might as well be. I haven't forgotten my heritage, never will, but I respect the people and the country that I live in - and I appreciate Canada for what it is - not what it can be. Canada is just fine as it is, lets leave it that way.

Wonder if there'll be any backlash over this one?!

Happy St. Patricks day everyone! I hope you're wearing green.... I'm not, and Joey pinched me for that this morning ;) Apparently you get to pinch whoever doesn't wear green, so I asked him if underwear counts - I think it confused him! Anyways, he rubbed my arm where he pinched me and said sorry, didn't want me to prove if I was wearing green underwear or not!

That's it today - just wanted to say hello :)

P.S. Thanks for the card Ken! The daffodils are beautiful :)

Quick post tonight - I know I'll forget this if I don't write it now! Tonight was Christopher's turn to say something funny....

So Christopher came up to me a little while ago and gave me a kiss. I told him that I loved him, he asked me why. Why is his favourite word right now, I should have known better than to go on... Anyways, I told him that I loved him because he was my son. He asked why. I told him because he was born to me. Again, he asked why. I told him because he grew in my tummy and then was born to me, so he was my son and that's why I loved him. I thought that was a good explanation and that it would stop the "why" questions! It did... instead he asked "Me in your tummy? Did you eat me?!" Seriously, the things kids say crack me up!!!

Just thought I'd share that one today, kinda cute :) Happy Friday!

Joey said the funniest thing tonight on the way home.... He was picked up from school today by his Aunt Kim, she's picked him up a few days already this week. So when he got in the car with me after Kim dropped him off, he said this - "Mom, I really love Aunt Kim, and for a good reason this time"! It was just so cute, the way he said it! Too funny!

Anyways, when I stopped laughing I asked him what the good reason was. He explained a little secret to me.... whenever he is out with Aunt Kim, he gets to play with the radio and decide what they listen too! I guess it makes him feel pretty special :) Oh yeah, he told me that he likes to rock!

Jason's doing GREAT in school! He got his first test back today - 100%! And it even had a "Great Job!" sticker on it :) Guess we have to put that one on the fridge!

Chris is being silly lately. We've had a really hard time getting him to stay in bed at night.... he thinks up all kinds of excuses to get out of bed. Like "me need water", and "me have go pee" and the funniest "me change my mind, me no want listen to Diego story"! I even tried putting chapstick on him (he LOVES chapstick!) and told him that if he moves it would fall off.... didn't work. I figure it will end eventually, its just frustrating having to run & down the stairs every 3 minutes putting him back into bed. I've tried being nice, being mean, timeouts, nothing works. Any suggestions?

Guess what I got?!? I finally found Beauty & The Beast on dvd! I've been looking for this movie forever, and someone finally listed it on kijiji. Lucky me, I got it :) Chris & I watched it on Saturday and we LOVED it. Chris loves to watch the Disney movies, especially if there's lots of singing in it... not gonna comment on that! Anyways, I'm still looking to complete my Disney collection. I've gotten quite a few of them at Beat Goes On and on kijiji, but there's some that I just can't find. So if you have any Disney dvd's that you're looking to get rid of, let me know :)

Ok thats it for tonight. I was told to blog today - so I'm blogging, just for you Sarah :)

WOOHOO! Back online at home - don't have to blog again at work :) Weird though, working on a laptop. Gotta get the real computer fixed before Jason moves away for school.

That's it for today... hope everyone is enjoying the crappy rain!

We have such good friends :) Want to know what one of them did yesterday??? Without naming any names, one of our friends showed up yesterday with a "back to school" gift for Jason. (Oh yeah, Jason's going back to school! More on that in a minute!). He got him a great backpack, binder, paper, all sorts of pens.... very thoughtful, and yes, I did cry because it was just so sweet. Thank you very much, you know who you are!

So yes, Jason is going back to school as of Monday! He is starting a high school upgrading course so that in September he can start the Environmental technician course at Fleming College in Lindsay. And yes, that means that he is moving away... aaaahhhhh!!!! But its ok, its only for 2 years and he'll be home on the weekends, at holidays, and through the summer. I can do this - its gonna be kinda like being a single mom, and I know it will be hard, but I can do this :)

Its finally starting to warm up! I'm so looking forward to Spring - once we get past all the mud and greyness that is inevitable, everything just starts to look so pretty :) And I've got lots of flowers coming in May that I'll be planting with lots of advice from my neighbour, Connie, so I'm excited about that too!

Things are looking up :) Happy Thursday everyone!!!!

P.S. Happy birthday Grandma Reynolds. With love from everyone!

Really, really, really good news today!!! Chris has been accepted for the Kidsability J.K. program starting in September! Can't wait - it means that he'll get more help in learning to speak properly! WOOHOO!!!!

The downside of this is that my baby is starting J.K. in September... guess he's not a baby anymore, is he?!

Anyways, I'm so excited :)

Slideshow!

Enjoy the pictures everyone :)
