I know, I know, I haven't been here in a while, so its time to catch up. And I actually have something to talk about this time.

Some sad news - last weekend, Joey's hamster Slinky went to hamster heaven... quite prematurely. Needless to say, Joey was absolutely devasted. I have never seen him so upset, it was like you could see his heart breaking. He said that he fed her and gave her water, so why did she die? He thought that it was something that he did. We had to explain that sometimes these things happen - its nothing that you can prevent. Then he made me take the "Stinky Slinky" stickers off the cage because he was so upset. Have to admit, I was too. Slinky is now buried in the front yard with a beautiful little cross so that Joey can talk to her whenever he wants to.

When we asked what we could do to make him feel better, he asked if we could get another hamster. So now we have Jessie. Jessie is named after one of the characters in the Pokemon cartoon - Joey's new most favouritist thing ever in the world. She is much smaller than what Slinky was, and waaaaaay more active. Wish we could WD40 that damn wheel.... she loves to run all night long and it drives me nuts. But, Joey loves her, loves playing with her, and seems to be happy. Every now and again he mentions Slinky, but I think he'll be ok.

Jason is now laid off from work. Not sure how long it will be, might be a few weeks but it could be until next year. Not impressed, right before 2 birthdays & christmas. Oh well, things happen for a reason and we'll figure it out. Maybe its because we're gonna win the 37 million :)

Chris got a good wallop on the head the other day. He slipped at daycare and whacked his head off of the floor. They said that the goose egg appeared almost instantly, but that he hardly noticed anything! He was more upset that he had to stop playing to get ice on it, but then Jason showed up to pick him up and he got to go home. Kinda scary, but he's ok. By the next morning, most of the swelling had gone down and he was left with a horrible bruise, but he really didn't even care. That's my boy :)

Its getting colder now. I'm not impressed. As much as I love snow, I hate the cold! I'm looking forward to the "perfect" winter day... you know those days when theres a beautiful snowfall and its not cold at all outside??? That's what I want. But I'll have to get a winter jacket & boots before I can go outside to play! Can't wait!

So there you go. I think that's all I have to say tonight, but I'll probably wake up at 3 in the morning and think of something else. If I do, I'll try to remember it for next time.

Well, as promised, here are the halloween pictures. I have no idea how to download them from Jason's camera, so I apologize if anyone has problems with viewing the pics.

Joey was my little monkey. He was supposed to be a power ranger, but changed his mind when he woke up on Halloween! He made such a cute little monkey, and its such a perfect costume for him :)
Chris was Chicken Little... the costume speaks for itself! This was the first time that he actually let us put the hat on him - every other time we tried he would take it off. He kept it on the whole time we were out trick-or-treating, and he now loves it so much that he wore it to bed tonight! I'm just glad he likes it!

He was so cute! Our neighbour, Connie, had made up special treat bags for each of the boys. When Chris went there, he just sat right down, made himself at home, at started checking out the treats! A while later, when we were almost done for the night, he headed back to Connie's and helped himself to the candy that she still had! My little thief :)

That's it for tonight. Just wanted to share the pictures. Kids got tons of candy, and they haven't eaten much of it, and they won't eat much of it! Want some?!

Slideshow!

Enjoy the pictures everyone :)
