Have you been following the Barefoot Bandit case? 18 year old Colton Harris-Moore escaped from a halfway house in 2008 and has been on the run for the last 2 years. The FBI finally caught up to him... after he stole a plane and flew to the Bahamas! Seriously, you can't help but admire this kid! He broke into homes to get food and ice cream, blankets, or to shower, and yes, he probably did steal things from those people. But at one point he also donated money to a vet's office with a note attached saying to use it to help the animals. Guess he was kind of a modern-day Robin Hood. He taught himself how to fly by reading books and playing with flight simulators. He didn't hurt anyone in the break-ins. In the whole time that he was on the run, not one person was physically harmed by anything that he did.... personal property may have been destroyed, but that's besides the point ;) I can't wait to see the movie version of this story, reminds me of Catch Me If You Can, the story of Frank Abagnale Jr. (and yes, I loved that movie!).

Speaking of bandits, I'm gonna catch the one that cut the flowers off of my lily trees. Yes, you better watch out, its not nice to be on my bad side ;)

Chris and I had a date this afternoon! We watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and made playdough worms and snakes :) Best date ever!

Tonight I learned that kaluha tastes like coffee.... and doesn't mix with banana liqueur! I meant to use the chocolate one! Doh, sorry guys!

I kinda like this mobile blogging, but I think people might get tired of the little posts, and comments here and there!  Oh well,  its a novelty, it may wear off ;)

Well, summer is here and its time for a change! What do you think of the new look??? I love it! Its so bright and there's even some pink in there, and we all know that its my favourite colour ;) Anyways, I figured I'd post something this afternoon just to keep everyone up to date on our little world!

Joey is LOVING camp! He goes to soccer camp Monday and Wednesday mornings and then regular camp (or playground) every weekday afternoon. He's making new friends and doing crafts, learning new games, swimming... something different every day. Its awesome, and I'm so glad that he's enjoying it! Chris gets to spend the time with me when Joey is at camp - the library and the community centre have drop-in programs that we can go to for Chris to take part in (he's excited for tomorrow, its craft day at the library!). Its been a really busy summer so far, and I LOVE IT!!!

I was thinking yesterday that if I were still working Joey wouldn't be able to do any of the stuff that he's into now. Instead he'd be at a sitters house all day, parked in front of the tv or fighting with his brother. He's lucky that I quit my job ;)

In other news.... this weather sucks. We don't have a/c, so its been a tad hot around here lately. Seriously, 42 degree weather is just a bit too much for me! Hopefully it will cool down soon!

I've been trying to figure out how to mobile blog.... for some strange reason, it won't work on my phone. I figure since I'm not home often I better start learning how to use my phone for stuff like this. Apparently I can even take pics and upload them here right away. Just gotta figure out how! Stay tuned for that :)
