I'm starting to get a bit frustrated here. I've been trying to upload pictures and it just doesn't seem to want to work - grrrrrr. I've got the most amazing picture of Joey to share, so I'll have to save it for another day.

The boys FINALLY got haircuts! Joey looks so much older now, and Chris still looks like Chris! They both look really awesome, and I think that Joey is really happy with his new look... he decided on the mowhawk look, but it actually looks really cute on him. I'll have to get a picture of it to show everyone.

The last few weeks have been busy with work and, when I'm not working, enjoying the outdoors! We have finally reclaimed the backyard from Farley and have made it a great place to spend time. We love being out there. The kids can play on the playcentre (or with any one of the million toys that they have!) and we can sit under the gazebo on the deck and enjoy ourselves! I've really gotten into barbecuing lately - and I'm getting better at it! I've only burned a few things (poor little steak was pretty charred!). I made chicken kabobs last week and they weren't burned at all, and I've got the burgers perfected! I've learned how to turn hot dogs into charcoal, so if anyone needs any for drawing, let me know ;)

Joey and I went on a date today to see Shrek the Third. We met up with Melissa and her two boys, Carson and Adrien, and we had a ball! I think Joey liked the movie... although he laughed the hardest when the baby did a blue angel! When Shrek was snoring and sleeping at the end, Joey said that he sounded just like daddy! That made the guy behind us giggle a bit! The things that kids say :)

I don't think I've mentioned my birthday yet.... Jason had a surprise party for me! For those who know Jason, this is something that he would normally never do, so I was AMAZED! It was really nice to have so many friends show up, and thanks to Rene for letting Jay do this! I thought we were coming over to play poker, little did I know. Next time though, I will not leave early and will bring LOTS MORE to drink! That's a promise!

What else.... mom is in Scotland right now, and I hope she's having a great time! I'm so jealous because she made sure to tell me that she had been to the chip shop already - that is my most very favourite restaurant in the whole world! There is nothing that can compare to their delicious, greasy fries in a bun, covered with tons of salt and vinegar, wrapped in newspaper... my mouth is watering, I can practically smell the fries right now! (Wishful thinking!)

And now that I'm hungry, its time for bed! I gotta get up for work, and if I don't go to bed now then I'll never be able to get up when the alarm goes off! Good night everyone!

P.S. Figures that I am finally able to get one picture uploaded...... the welcome sign for Mount Forest. I really thought that the whole town was stoned until Mike explained that it was one of the highest points in Ontario! Thanks Mike - but I still like my explanation better!

I realized today how lucky I am to be a mom. My kids are pretty much the two most amazing people that I have ever met, known and loved. The fact that they love me no matter what (most days!) is so incredible to me. And the love that I have for them is completely indescribable - you moms out there know exactly what I mean!

Joey explained mothers day to me today, and I listened to him sincerely while trying not to laugh. Did you know that mothers day is the day when all moms are supposed to let their children do whatever they want, and that they are not allowed to say no to them all day? This is what Joey was trying for today! Good shot buddy, but I'm still mom and there's always gonna be rules - even on birthdays, Christmas and mothers day :)

The boys took me out to breakfast today. They wanted to take me to A&W since its my favourite restaurant (thanks for letting me know that!). We got there around 8:45 and it was closed! I couldn't believe it! So we decided to go to McDonalds..... I should say that Jay & Joey decided to go to McD's! We were in the drive-thru when Joey decided to tell Jason that if you take someone out to breakfast you eat IN THE RESTAURANT, not pick it up and eat at home! I told Joey that it was ok - on Fathers Day, we'll take Jason to breakfast.... drive to Zehrs and pickup a box of corn flakes and bring him home to eat it. When we got up to the window to pay, Jason decided that it was better to pick up the order inside, so we ate at McD's!!! Way to go Joey - you really made your point today!!!!

The boys gave me the BIGGEST card in the world today, with some great drawings in it. We spent lots of time outside this afternoon, and both boys were awesome for me. Chris even slept for about 2 hours this afternoon (a great mothers day gift!!!!). Joey had a ball in the backyard with Farley and daddy, playing soccer and on his swings. Chris even tried the slide today, and I think he liked it. I'll eventually get out there with the camera and get some pictures of them on the playset.

Another week ahead of me, but a long weekend next week! I can't wait, and I hope that the weather will be sunny, warm and DRY!!! NO RAIN!!! I can always hope, right!

I hope that everyone had a great mothers day today. Now we just have to figure out how we can be treated like princesses every day :)

The sunny weather is finally here! I love this weather - when its bright and sunny all day, not a cloud in sight, and its not too hot to be outside all day - thats perfect :) Anyways, I hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine like we have been!

Its been busy again at work and I'm beginning to believe that there's never going to be a slow time of the month ever again. It used to be just the first week or so of the month that was busy for me when the closing cheques came in. But here we are at the 7th of May and its just not stopping! I know its a good thing, but I can only do so much before I break down and cry ;) Oh well, I do what I can and I hope that I'll get a few minutes to breathe and catch up again soon!

We finally got a new barbecue on the weekend. Its my mother's day/birthday present all rolled into one, and its a great present! And its exactly what I asked for, so its perfect! We bbq'd last night, and again tonight, and I hope to do it again tomorrow! I have to say that I surprised myself tonight when I cooked a pork tenderloin on the bbq. I didn't even burn it. Beginning to wonder if I'm growing up after all ;)

Chris is now walking EVERYWHERE! He likes to play games. Like tonight - I told him to go upstairs to go to bed and started walking into the hallway and he was walking right behind me. The minute I looked away he turned and ran! When he finally toppled over he started giggling and it was so awesome! Joey was playing with him tonight as well and making him laugh - its the greatest thing to see your boys getting along, and I know it won't always be like this. Guess I better enjoy it while I can!

Joey was sick last Thursday. Threw up all over Grandma Barb's bed! I felt bad, but I think he felt worse. I told him that Grandma & Grandpa weren't mad at him, and that they just want him to feel better. He then threw up in his sleep that night (at home, in his own bed!). That worries me - that he can throw up in his sleep and not even know about it. Anyways, by Friday night he seemed to be better, the fever had broken, and his energy levels started to pickup. By Saturday he was his usual little tornado self going crazy all over the place! I still don't know what it was that made him sick, but I'm glad he's over it!

Grandpa Jim left for Scotland last night, and we're hoping that his flight was boring and uneventful. After being delayed almost 4 hours, the last thing that you want is lots of turbulence or noisy passengers, so I hope it was ok. So if you read this Dad, let us know you got there ok!

What more to say tonight.... Not too much. May 2-4 is coming up and its the annual fishing derby for the boys! Joey is excited already, and it will be our first weekend away with Chris. I'm not sure if I'm really looking forward to it as he can be a real handful, but we'll see how it goes. We can always just go for the day, but I'm hoping for at least 1 night! And I'm really hoping for GOOD WEATHER!!!

So that's it for now. Not much more to do, but finish the laundry. The dryer just finished, guess I gotta go fold the crap now! Good night!

Slideshow!

Enjoy the pictures everyone :)
