MY BOYS ROCK!
They really do! Take a look at these pictures and decide for yourself!
Does this look familiar?!?! Joey makes the BEST faces, and here he is doing one of his favourites! Its his scooby-doo look, don't know why, but he makes me laugh every time he does it! Then again, that kid can make me laugh no matter what!
This is Chris after waking up from a nap. His hair was just so cute, and he looked so adorable and cuddly, that I just had to take his pic.

Another Chris pic... lunchtime today! He did a great job of emptying his bowl.... all over his tray and the floor! He had fun doing it, and he did actually eat some noodles!

So as you can see, I am now back to talking about the boys. I've missed writing about them lately, and decided that today was such a miserable & rainy day that they could be the little ray of sunshine that I needed. I hope that they were your little ray as well :)

Prison Break.... grrrrrrrrrrr! I really hate how they get you all worked up and really into a show, then its 9pm, the show is over and the season is finished. Yep, that's cruel and inhumane. But I'm glad that Michael & Lincoln got away, I just never imagined it happening that way. Sucre's alive (woohoo!) and Mahone is dead, didn't think they'd kill him off. But come on... I guess this is how they, the network big guys, can guarantee that they will get viewers next season. All I have to say is they SUCK!

In other news: Jason went to the doctors again today, just to find out that the tendonitis is REALLY bad, and the infection is bad too. The doc sent him for x-rays just to make sure that nothing else is going on. What else can go on??? Its swollen so badly and looks horrible, and now he's off work for the rest of the week. I really hope that it gets better soon... the whining just isn't that cute!!!

I'm reading this book right now that seems to be quite good, so that's what I'm gonna do now. Nothing else to write about tonight, I just had to get my feeling out in regards to Prison Break.

Again - GRRRRRR! Goodbye!!!

Sunday, November 26, 2006

Here we are at the end of the weekend... Sunday night. Its quiet here, kids are asleep, Jason's asleep and I'm almost asleep too! How sad is that - its only 10pm! Must be because we're old :)

The weather was great again today, so we went out for another walk this afternoon. There's so many little stores around us that we never go to, so it was nice to see whats around us. The downside is that because its Sunday, most of them were closed so we could only look through the windows! I found out that there's a great used book store, so I'll be checking that one out again very soon. All this walking is great because Chris falls asleep in his stroller and Joey gets so much fresh air... he falls asleep so easily at night because of it :) Then again, I think it helps all of us fall asleep a little easier.

Yesterday's walk led us to the library, where Joey just LOVES to go lately. We just hung out there for a while and he got to read a bit and play on their computers. We checked out some cookbooks and maybe I'll decide to try to make something... I said maybe! There are some yummy ideas in it, and they look easy, so it might be something I can actually do without screwing up or burning it!!! Did I mention that it was a kids cookbook?!

I put up my Christmas lights yesterday (but not the icicle lights yet, Jason has to get up on the porch roof to do that!). According to Jason, they don't look so good so he wants to redo them when his wrist is better. (He has severe tendonitis, and has lots of meds and a splint that he has to wear. Its also infected, yuck!) Tomorrow night, I'll take a pic of my way of doing the lights and then I'll take one when Jason redoes them... and we'll see who did it better. ;)

I'm so tired that I don't think I can keep on writing tonight. I guess you can say that I am e-speechless! That's a first for me... I can usually just keep on going no matter what! Its been a good weekend, but a long weekend, and I need my rest! Good night everyone!

Saturday, November 25, 2006

Ok, I've been asked to update so here it is already... no need to be so impatient Kevie :) So this is how it feels when I bug you to update! Anyways, its Saturday, so here's my story for today.

What did we do yesterday??? Well, we got rid of the kids for the night and we actually went out and enjoyed ourselves for the first time in I don't know how long. This night out was courtesy of Dave FM, as we used the dinner & movie gift certificates that I won earlier this week. Dinner was great! We went to Applebees and ate more than we've eaten all week! I even had dessert - a maple blondie brownie, and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! I recommend that anyone going to Applebees tries this dessert, it should be mandatory and included with every meal! The only thing was that I burned my tongue on it, it was soooooo warm and yummy and that I just couldn't stop eating it :)

After dinner, we went shopping for a bit, and we picked up a few things for Christmas. Can't say what I got, because maybe it was for YOU! So just use your imagination as to what I could have bought. Then it was off to the movie theatre to see Casino Royale, the latest James Bond movie. I'm not a Bond fan, but I figured that I'd go anyways. Well, its one of those movies that just doesn't end... I mean, it could have ended a hundred times, but each time it was like the Energizer bunny came along and injected the movie with its magic and it just kept going and going and going..... and going some more. Anyways, I won't bore you with the details, but if you like action, poker, and more action, then see this movie. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if it was Vin!

This afternoon we're off on a walk to enjoy the sunshine. Its so beautiful out today, and who knows how many more nice days we have left this year. I hope everyone else can get out today and enjoy the weather! :)

So goodbye, we're leaving now, have a great afternoon!

P.S. Thanks to Dave FM for a great night out and for actually giving me something to write about :) (does anyone know how I make the red text a link? If so, let me know! I don't know html!)

Friday, November 24, 2006

Well, its Friday and its sunny! Its so nice to wake up in the morning and see the sun shining in the window and there's not a cloud in the sky. Its kind of deceiving though, its a bit chilly out there! But we all bundled up today and got Joey to and from school no problem.

After dropping Joey off at school today I was going to go to the mall and get some Christmas shopping done. But after I got to the mall I decided that I really didn't want to be in there. Instead, I came home and opened the windows to let in some cold fresh air, and sat in my living room reading a book and enjoying the sunshine. Chris didn't sleep (again), but for once he actually played quietly on his own for a while so I could enjoy reading. I hope he decides to do this more often :)

I've come to the conclusion that Chris can't be my real son - he doesn't like cheese! Any other food that you give him disappears in seconds! I swear he inhales it! But give him cheese and he scrunches up his little face and just mushes it around in his fingers. I LOVE cheese, so I figured that my dear little son would too.... no such luck. Oh well, I can't complain because he eats absolutely everything else. Yesterday he had a bagel with peanut butter on it for his lunch and he just sat there and smiled the whole time he was eating. It was so cute to watch!

I don't have much to say today again. We have plans tonight, so tomorrow I'll actually have something to write about! I'm not even gonna tell you whats happening, so you'll have to come back to find out! I realized today that I haven't posted any pictures in a while, so I'll try to get some over the weekend. Maybe Chris will decide to take his first steps and I'll actually have my camera ready! Until then, here's a pic of Chris playing peekaboo.

Have a great Friday!

Thursday, November 23, 2006

I'm annoyed this afternoon, so if I seem grumpy... too bad. Joey is just back from school and he's already playing Cars on the playstation. He's getting really good at the racing game - he usually beats all the other cars and wins tons of points! He's gonna be disappointed when we have to return it! I've noticed that he plays racing games like me, and uses the controller as a steering wheel and points it where the car needs to go! At least he can stay on the track, unlike me! Maybe Santa will have to look into getting this game for him ;)

I had an interview with Joey's teacher yesterday and he's doing great. No, thats not me being a proud parent - Joey's teacher thinks he's doing very well. Good to hear - I was kinda worried about him being a bit of a bully and not really wanting to learn! The only problem is his listening skills... he doesn't always listen to me either! But he is enthusiastic in learning, in gym, and especially in his Strong Starts program! I did learn that he has been caught holding hands with Harmony at story time and when they line up! When I asked Joey about it, he said that he didn't tell me because he thought I would tell him not to. I told him its fine, just no kissing her! Mrs. Dietrich doesn't let them hold hands anyways, and its kindergarten, so it won't last for long!!!

Chris woke up again this morning screaming & crying. If its teeth, they better hurry up and come in. I have a feeling that its just attitude, so I have to figure out how to get him out of this before he starts daycare... any suggestions?!?!

Oh yeah, its Thursday, so its ER night! Something to look forward to. Other than that, nothing interesting, and nothings happening. So that's it - goodbye!

Wednesday, November 22, 2006

Nothing much new today except.... I got my car back!!! :) You have no idea how happy that makes me! After dropping Joey off at school, I planned on getting a few errands done, but here I am at home on the computer telling you my story again. Chris is just too tired & miserable to be going out anywhere, so I decided to come home and see if he would nap. So far, no luck. He is in his playpen right now with his toys, crying for mommy to pick him up. Yesterday he only slept for about 10-20 minutes all day, then was up quite a bit through the night. I don't know whats up with him, he just seems to want mommy ALL THE TIME! Maybe he knows that pretty soon I'll be back to work and he won't have me all day...

Speaking of back to work, do you have any idea how hard it is to find daycare for a child his age? They don't take babies at Joey's daycare until they are at least 16 months old, so I have to find someone for Chris for just a few months. Joey is no problem, his spot at the daycare has been reserved since he left in September, and he has already asked Janet (one of the daycare teachers) if she will walk him back & forth to school when I go back to work! Joey is prepared, its just me who has to get my butt in gear!

Not much more to say except that Joey liked Ice Age: The Meltdown, and You, Me & Dupree is a really funny movie! There is nothing about that movie that I would change, the cast is good, the dialogue is great, and the crazy stuff that they do is awesome! Everyone should watch that movie. Not like Totally Awesome... lets not discuss that movie ever again.

Anyways, Chris is still crying, guess he's going to fall asleep in my arms... again. Have a great day!

Tuesday, November 21, 2006

WOOHOO!!! I just got home from dropping Joey off at school and my answering machine was blinking and beeping at me. I thought to myself "do I really want to check that?" and decided that I really should. So off we went, Chris & I, to check out who called us. I pressed the button and this is what I heard....

"Hi Melanie, I'm calling from Dave FM and I just wanted to congratulate you on winning 2 passes to see Casino Royale and a $50 gift certificate to Applebee's!"

I'm so excited! I can't wait to go out for a night, even though I'm not a big Bond fan. Maybe my luck is coming back... maybe I'll win a trip again! (I only wish!) Everyone should register at Dave FM - they play good music and you get cool stuff. Ok, so I didn't win their $10,000 contest, but hey, I'll take whatever I get :)

In other news: I pick up my car tonight!!! Its all fixed & ready to go, and I even got an oil change. It was only 6 months past due... is that a bad thing :)

Last night's Prison Break - awesome! I love that show, and I'm really disappointed that next week's episode is the last one of this season! I told you all that the Doc wouldn't die! Sarah is the key to everything... I just know it! And now that Mahone has Michael & Lincoln, I think he's gonna turn against "the company" and help the boys so that he can get a cut of the cash. Think about it: "the company" wants him dead, he's got nothing left, why not take some cash and disappear and live the rest of his days with a couple of fugitives in Panama??? Too bad about Sucre, I liked that guy. Hope he doesn't get shot down! And Bellick, all I can say is hehehehehe :)

Tonight is also date night for our family, so we're watching Ice Age: The Meltdown. Joey has been looking forward to it for a while now, so we rented it today. We also got You, Me and Dupree to watch after Joey has gone to bed. Now I just have to figure out what to do about dinner! Any suggestions?!

Its a good day all around :) Have a great day everyone!

P.S. Yes, Jason is my date for Casino Royale... Vin wasn't available and Wentworth is busy running from the law :)

Sunday, November 19, 2006

Since I've been off on mat leave, I've learned lots of stuff... mainly how to be domestic! In the last 11 months, I have learned how to make spaghetti, I bake, I wash dishes by hand instead of in the dishwasher, and tons of other stuff. I've even learned to like spaghetti (lots of butter, parmesan cheese & salt, mmmmm!)! And my efforts haven't gone unnoticed....

The other day I made peanut butter cookies. It was a special treat for Joey's after school snack. When we got home and I gave him 2 cookies on a napkin and a glass of milk. The very first thing that Joey did was look at the bottom of the cookies.... and point out that they were black. But according to him, thats ok. Mommy's cookies are supposed to be black on the bottom.

Then there were the pancakes. Apparently Jason makes the best pancakes. Every Saturday Jason makes breakfast for everyone and Joey always wants pancakes. There have been smarties pancakes, peanut butter & chocolate pancakes, banana pancakes, and strawberry banana syrup pancakes. When Jason was away hunting, Joey still wanted pancakes... and mommy had to make them. Even before I started making them, Joey said "its ok if they're black, I'll still eat them!" He knows just what mommy's cooking is like.

Its not all bad, or burned. This week I decided to make honey garlic pork from scratch. It actually turned out quite good - although next time I'll add more honey & garlic! I even figured out that if you cook stuff at a lower temperature for a little bit longer, it usually works out! Wow, 30 years old and just figuring this crap out! Yay for me!

In other news, Joey loved the parade yesterday! His favourite part was seeing the Dave FM truck and at the very end, when he got to see Santa. Everyone came back here cold and hungry, but happy! Then the boys played "Cars" on the playstation and had fun watching Joey play the Tractor Tipping game. Once Joey settled down, he finally went to bed, and didn't get up once - he was completely wiped out! I wish there was a parade every weekend!!!

So thats it, that's all I have to say today... maybe I'll have more tonight. Bye!

P.S. Here's a question for you: When are you putting up your christmas tree? Or is it too early to think about that already!?!

Saturday, November 18, 2006

Well, it seems that someone was disappointed that I didn't blog yesterday! Makes me feel so good that at least one person is interested in whats going on in our lives! I know that you're curious as to why I didn't have anything to say, but lets leave that one to your imagination :)

Joey has gone out with his Aunt Kim tonight, and they're going to the Santa Claus Parade. Joey's really excited! He gets to see Santa and they give out free candy canes & chips, so he's just loving it! Chris is here playing with a ball right now, so I get to write while he keeps himself amused. It won't last long, so I probably won't get to say too much.... lucky for you!

We went to Sams Club today because we received an email from them saying that Christmas items (food) would be previewed this weekend and it was a "do not miss" event. I have to say that I am very disappointed in their samples today! I figured that they would have lots of treats to try, but in reality - there was nothing! They had some ham, greek stuff that I don't remember the name of, mini sausages, gross cheese that costs $20 for a tiny little block, pineapple (seriously, why???), cranberry bundt cake and poppycock. Ok, so the cake, ham and poppycock were yummy, but the other stuff - I was expecting Christmas TREATS!!! Oh well, live and learn I guess!

Ok, its 6pm and the parade is on tv now. Gotta go and see if we can see Joey! Have a good night! Maybe tomorrow I'll have more to write!

P.S. The real reason for no blog yesterday was that Chris was up ALL night on Thursday, so I was just too tired and went to bed yesterday. What were you thinking!?

Thursday, November 16, 2006

I read an article on CNN.com today about the 7 wonders of the world. Seems that the original 7 are no longer quite so wonderous, so the people of the world are to decide on what is worthy of being in this esteemed group of 7. Why haven't I heard about this before?! The original 7 includes: the Egyptian Pyramids, the Colossus of Rhodes, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Pharos lighthouse off of Alexandria, and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus. I still think that they are wonders of the world, so why can't the list be left as is? Or if they really feel that it needs to be updated, then expand on the list. Or maybe its because all of these original 7 are located in one little area of the world and the western world feels left out. Maybe they should find one place in every country that is "absolutely wonderous" and that would be the new list. Better yet - why can't they just leave well enough alone?

In other news, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are all over the news and net now. What's up with that??? So what if they're getting married? Let them get it over & done with so that Entertainment Tonight can go back to being entertaining, and I can read People.com without having their faces plastered all over it. And if its not TomKat, its Britney & K-Fed. Its over, its about time, move on, get over it. Why is it that stars get all this attention over everyday stuff that happens to millions of other people all the time??? I guess when you have all that money you can buy the attention! Anyways, I wish both couples the best of luck on their marriage and their divorce, just get it over with so everyone else's lives can go back to normal.

Mmmmmmm, what else??? My friend Melissa posted today about a woman who left her baby in the car while she went shopping... what an idiot. Doesn't she know that anyone could have come along and taken that child?!?! Maybe that's what she wanted. Or if the weather was worse, the poor kid could have froze to death. People like that shouldn't be parents. They don't care. I just hope that the cop who was there calls Children's Aid and gets the kid into a caring and loving home. God knows that there's too many couples out there who want kids and would love to have a little one to love.

Ok, I'm done tonight. ER is on in 10 minutes, so I'm gonna get my jammies on and crawl into bed to watch it! Good night!

P.S. Going back to the 7 wonders, what about Niagara Falls and the Great Wall of China? I thought that those were considered to be wonders of the world??? What do you think should be on the list?

Wednesday, November 15, 2006

Have you ever just sat and stared at someone? For no reason whatsoever, just stared for a while, not caring if they look at you or not? I find it quite rude when people do that, and it really annoys me. On the way to Joey's school today, Chris was in his stroller and was quite happy staring at this one guy... and he was ok with it. I guess when you're a baby, everything is ok. Kinda like when we were eating dinner yesterday and Chris was trying to poop at the dinner table - I had to tell Joey not to even think about it, he can go to the bathroom to poop! Or when Chris sticks out his tongue, how cute, but when Joey does it he gets in trouble? Isn't it ironic that you can do all the fun stuff when you're a baby and can't or don't know how to enjoy it, and when you grow up you're not allowed to do the fun stuff?!?

Once again, I don't really have anything to talk about, so I'll just ramble on. Let's go back to the bus story... When I take Joey to school, Chris is in his stroller. When I pick him up, I have to take Chris in his carrier (which sucks!) because the bus is so full of high school kids that there's no room for a stroller. Over the last few weeks, I've had to listen to these kids, and if these people are the future of our country... then I'm moving to Timbuktu! Not only are they rude, but they are also inconsiderate and lazy. I've heard them talk when I get on the bus, saying "Here's the chick with the kid again" like its awful that I'm getting on their bus. Then they get upset when the driver makes them move so that I can sit down. These kids think that just because Chris is strapped on to me I'm ok to stand up. Have you ever tried to stand in a moving bus with 30 extra pounds attached to you? Not an easy thing to do. And its never the boys who move - nope, its the girls who will say that there's a seat available further back. If there's seats available further back, why the hell don't they move so more people can get on the bus!!! Or what about when the driver tells people that they can't get on the bus because its too full.... there's no way I'd let them do that to me because I have to get on that bus to get Joey from school. If I don't get on the bus, I don't pick up my kid, and the GRT would have hell to pay. Believe me, I've complained before and I'd have no problem doing it again. I can be a bi-atch when I want or need to be :)

On the lighter side of the bus rides, its funny to hear the girls say "oh, what a cute baby... I want one!" It amazes me that they are 14-16 year old, and they really have no clue as to whats involved in having kids. Yeah, they are cute, and fun to have around. But would they still think its cute at 3am when that cute little face is all scrunched up screaming and crying? Or when you walk into their bedroom and find that they have discovered how to get their diaper off and has painted a beautiful brown picture all over the wall and their crib and their sheets?! I still think that they should make all high school girls go to the local hospital and watch a real live birth... I bet the high school pregnancy rate would drastically drop!!!

Ok, I'm done, nothing else to rant about. It's a different kind of post for me tonight... hope you enjoyed this side of me :) Good night!

COMPLETELY BLANK
I am drawing a complete blank tonight on what to write about. Once again, I shall resort to the topic closest to my heart - my boys. Here's a pic of Chris from last week, in his high chair after having a snack of Cheerios and practicing with his juice cup. Chris has always been a very lazy drinker.... he never holds his bottle, but would rather just let it hang from his mouth while he plays with his toys! He doesn't like the sippy cup because he has to hold it up to get anything, taking his hands away from his precious toys! Needless to say, he has been very frustrated with it, but he's starting to get used to it. Finally!

We've also been having a hard time getting him to fall asleep at night without screaming. I was willing to try just about anything, no matter how dumb or stupid it may have seemed. So last night I put him at the other end of his crib, just to see if it would work. He cried for less than a minute, and it wasn't really a cry, more of a poor me thing just to get mommy to come back! I did the same thing with him tonight, and wow, same thing! I think all he wanted was to be at the bottom end of the crib, instead of where I was putting him all the time! We'll see if he does it again tomorrow, maybe we've found that little trick that just might work :)

Tonight was movie night, and we watched The Da Vinci Code. Its a great movie, and its even better the second time around. Apparently there's some sort of hidden code within the movie and if you can decipher it, you can win a trip, so I'm going to be watching it again very closely so I can win that trip! You never know... its happened for me before! Only this time I'm sure that I would enjoy the trip and not have to worry about being seasick!

That's it for tonight. Send me some suggestions on what to talk about so I don't have to keep writing about the kids. There's gotta be something interesting in my life, don't you think?!

The 80's were a great time.... full of awesome fashion, big hair, and great music. So when I rented the movie Totally Awesome, I expected to really enjoy it - I understood it to be a movie about the 80's. Was I wrong! Its a spoof of all the 80's movies... and its 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. The even worse part is that I kept thinking to myself "shut it off", but its SO bad that you just can't stop watching! It made me think about what really was good in the 80's, so here's my little list. Feel free to let me know what you remember was so great about those wonderful times!
  1. Culture Club
  2. The Goonies & ET
  3. Leg warmers and wristbands
  4. Fingerless gloves (mine were the coolest - multicoloured and personalized!)
  5. Dirty Dancing (the movie, remember how young I was then people!!!)
  6. Steel Magnolias
  7. So, Like, Yeah, Totally!
  8. Vaurnet
  9. Total Eclipse of the Heart
  10. Jelly shoes
  11. Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran
  12. GI Joe & Transformers
  13. He-Man & She-ra
  14. String headbands
  15. Crimped hair (loved it!)
  16. Fame
  17. Mork & Mindy
  18. The A-Team
  19. Guns 'n Roses
  20. Alf (hehehehe, love it!)
  21. Chernobyl (1986)
  22. Howard the Duck
  23. Who you gonna call?.... Ghostbusters!
  24. Princess Diana & Prince Charles get married (1981)
  25. Tiffany
  26. Milli Vanilli
  27. Did we ever find out who shot JR?!
  28. The Smurfs (and the bad guy Gargamel!)
  29. S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night
  30. Dukes of Hazzard

Looking back now, so many of those things that we thought were cool... just weren't! Have you looked at pictures of yourself from back then? I have absolutely no problem admitting that I had the crimped hair, leg warmers, and used to wear these huge bows right on top of my head so that I looked like a helicopter ready to take off! I wish that I had a scanner so that I could show off my pictures from waaaaaay back then! Those were the days, people, those were the days that we all wish we could live over again.

I had a great time reminiscining, and hope you did too! If you want to keep going, check out this totally awesome site http://www.tripletsandus.com/80s/index.htm

Till next time, dude, peace out! (hehehe, had to be said!)

Update: Forgot to add this one to the list, don't know how I could have forgotten it: THE MULLET!

THE CUTEST LITTLE DEAR!

Well, the guys are home from hunting now, and this is what they came home with. Joey was fascinated with the deer head, and the antlers are boiling on our stove right now because he wants to put them in his room. Its gross, and I don't want to look at it, but if he likes it.... I guess thats fine. He can't wait until he's old enough to go hunting. He told his daddy to shoot all the animals that he saw, until Jason told him that we have to eat what he shoots! He wasn't too thrilled with that, didn't want to eat the deer or the bunny, but he understands now that hunting is not for fun - and that you have to eat what you get.

Joey had ton's of fun playing with the deer head.... ew. He kept on telling me to kiss it, or to pet it because it was soooooo soft! No thanks, I'll keep my distance from it and it can be Joey's little friend.

He also got to go on the 4 wheeler with daddy.... and loved it! It might be a little loud for him, but he quickly learned to get over the noise and just enjoy himself! He looked so cute on there, and his daddy did too, just like a kid himself!

Here's a few other pictures from today... enjoy!

THE BOYS.... AGAIN!

I took this picture about 5 minutes ago, Chris is trying to pull himself up on the table and Joey was trying to help him... kinda funny to watch! Chris has gotten frustrated enough with Joey's "help" that now he's moving around to the other side of the table to get away from him! Funny!

I had to share this picture... He looks so serious, and has such a stylish 'do that it doesn't matter that he's dressed like a little sumo wrestler! He looks so much like Joey in this picture... aren't I lucky to have 2 gorgeous boys!

Its been a busy day today.... started off with Joey waking up and saying that he had to go to the doctors. Turns out he was right. He's getting a chest infection, so now he's on antibiotics and inhalers. Poor kid ends up having to use inhalers every fall & winter. He had RSV & pneumonia when he was only 6 weeks old, and it seems to have destroyed his resistance to colds. They say he'll outgrow it... but he should have by now. Only time will tell.

That's it for tonight. Nothing else to say except that Chris is now standing up at the table smiling at me and trying to grab everything! Gotta go!

STILL NOTHING NEW!

I've been going through my many pictures the last few days, and I found these pics of the boys (what else!) that I thought would be good to post. They were taken back in March, so Chris was only 3 months old. You can see how much he's changed since then. You can also see how much the boys look alike!

Chris is thinking "Who's this crazy kid thats got me?"

Joey is thinking "This crazy baby stinks... like blue cheese!?!"

Here's another picture that shows Christopher's attitude, just like me!

Like I said, nothing new happening. I know the pics are old, but the boys haven't really done anything interesting for a bit so the I could get pictures. Sure, Chris pulled himself up to stand yesterday, but I was just too excited and didn't get the camera, but I'm sure he'll do it again! Until then, you get old pictures! Enjoy!

I'm bored. Kids are asleep, Prison Break is over and Jason's watching some new show called Heroes. No interest in that show, so I'll write something.... but I have no clue what to write about. I'll just blab on for a bit, just like I normally do in person :)

So... Prison Break. Everyone should be watching that show. It should be mandatory viewing. I LOVE IT!!! For those of you who don't watch it (you suck!), its in its second season and its no longer about the breakout. They're already out, so its all about how they're trying to stay one step ahead of the law, as well as the bad guys. I just have to say - I can't even look at T-Bag and his hand, and he's gonna break it off again just to get away. Yuck, but still so awesome! Next Monday you all better watch it.... I've already converted a few people (yay for Kim & Curtis!), so everyone else I know better watch it as well!

I've had some emails to let me know that the comments don't seem to be working right. I'm not sure what's happening - all I can say is sorry, and just keep trying. I love to read your comments, so don't give up! And you can always add your name to the end of the comment, instead of having "Anonymous said..." at the beginning of it, that way I know who said what and who I have to get back to. And I just want to say thanks again to all the overseas visitors - still haven't gotten anyone from Australia yet, but you never know!

Weather was nice today, and its still supposed to be nice tomorrow, but we'll wait and see. Joey tells me that he's my little weather man - he gets up and looks out the window and tells me whether the sun is shining or if its raining! Thats the only real way to know whats happening these days... the weather network has been known to be a little "off" lately :)

What else can I talk about??? No idea. So I'll finish this now. Maybe you have an idea for what I could talk about next time I run out of pictures and have nothing to talk about??? Let me know. Then next time this might be more interesting! Sorry if I bored you :)

GUY FAWKES DAY

Ok, so maybe these pictures weren't taken today for Guy Fawkes, but they were taken on Canada Day, July 1. I remember Guy Fawkes Night from when I was younger, and I always looked forward to it. For those who don't know (watch V for Vendetta!), Guy Fawkes was the guy who tried to blow up British Parliament long ago. He got caught, and I'm guessing that they burned him alive, hence the holiday.

Anways, getting back to my story... When I was little, you always looked forward to it - there were fireworks, sparklers and the biggest bonfires you had ever seen! People started getting it ready about a week before, so I'd watch it grow each day, and get more excited about it. The fireworks were way better then than what you get now - I remember the volcano ones, the katherine wheel, the changing colour ones, they were awesome! I remember that you could stand on the little wall by our house and see for miles (all the way to Ravenscraig!)... it was so cool to see those fireworks in the next towns!

Guy Fawkes night was something that the whole neighbourhood would take part in... but there was also a downside to that. There was one year when I remember hearing the bonfire start (gas goes boom, everyone!), and off we went running to see it. There at the bottom of the raging bonfire was my little orange desk with the black legs. I was devastated! My desk was just starting to burn, and there was no way I was getting it back. Guy Fawkes night was just a little sad for me that night.... then someone gave me a sparkler or something and I was fine again :)

I don't know if this "holiday" or event still occurs in Britian, but we don't have it here. It was something to look forward to on a cold November night right after Halloween, unless you knew that your stuff was going to be thrown in the bonfire while you were at school!

So to all the U.K. visitors to this site - Happy Guy Fawkes day, and I hope you roast some marshmallows for me!

Hello everyone! You may have noticed that I've made a few changes to my site over the last week. The counter is the main change - and now I can see that people actually check out this site! Thanks to everyone who visits - and keeps coming back to check up on us : )

Its really interesting to see where the visitors are coming from. Just a few of the places that I've had hits from include Singapore, Portugal, all over the States, and the good old U.K. Wonder if its anyone that I know...??? Think you know me - leave a comment or email me, I'd love to hear from you!

That's it for today! Just wanted to thank everyone for checking out my little corner of the world!

Question of the day: WHAT'S IN YOUR TOOLBOX?

The cutest little tool you'll ever see!

A plug for Home Depot in this one.... even though I still have issues with them.

Even I have to say AAAAWWWWWW - How Cute!

I bribed him with a toy to get him to crawl all the way through... yep, I will resort to bribery to get my kids to do cute stuff!

Almost through.... now he's wondering how to get back in there!

Look Mommy - I did it!!!

These pictures were taken about 2 weeks ago, and Chris was just having a great time with Joey's tools and toolbox. It was just too funny to see him trying to get through and opening the doors from the inside that I had to get the camera and get pics to "capture the moment"!

I used to think that I was an awful mother - I have tons of pics of Joey from his first year, but felt that I wasn't taking many of Chris. When I looked back at my picture files tonight, I realized how wrong I was! I have tons of pictures on my computer, they're just not printed. Joey's are in an album, I guess that's why I felt different. They always say that you're too busy to take pics of the second (or third, or fourth!) kid, but I guess in my case its just not true! I pretty much always have the camera ready, just in case!

Here's a pic of Chris.... this is what happens when you give him a cookie. He loves them! Its messy, and I end up with lots of laundry to do and mopping the floor a lot, but its worth it to see the smile that he gives you when he's finished the cookie! Its almost as if he's thinking "if I smile, maybe I'll get another cookie?!". I have news for you little one - cuteness gets you nowhere with me! Ok, fine, it does! Just keep smiling forever and mommy can't say no!!!!

Thats it today.... nothing interesting happening lately so I have nothing to blab about (lucky for you!)! Bye!

Slideshow!

Enjoy the pictures everyone :)
