I wanted to share some pictures with you tonight - we had a family dinner tonight with Jason's Aunt Patty & Uncle Alex. Its the first time in a long time that the family has all been together, and it was really nice. The kids all played together nicely (and loudly!), and I got my baby fix - I got to hold baby Maya and feed her, and I just loved her :) Chris helped, and he was surprisingly gentle and amazing with her.... at one point she started to cry and he just stroked her hair and kissed her, saying "no cry baby, I love you"! It was the sweetest thing to see!
That's it for tonight because I'm tired. My head is pounding and I'm stuffed... I love turkey dinners - thank you!!!
Woohoo! Over 10,000 hits and still going strong! This is my little corner of the world wide web... if you don't like what I have to say then stay out of my corner :) Here's what we've been up to ....

Eventful week.... wanna hear about it?! Where do I start....
Ok, I'll start with Joey. I'm really proud of him - he has been taking swimming lessons the last two weeks and today was his last day. He was finally ready for the diving board, and I actually got to watch him (I'm usually at work!)! He was a little unsure, but then just dove right in and loved it, got out and went back to jump in again! I'm really proud of him and glad that he's not afraid of the water.... like me.
Next up - Chris. Chris woke up on Tuesday morning and said that he had a headache. He was kinda grumpy but otherwise ok. I thought nothing of it as he hears a lot about headaches lately and I just thought he was repeating something that he heard. I took him to daycare and I went to work as usual. When I got home he came running up to me like he usually does and I just looked at him and thought "What is wrong with this kids head?!" It was all swollen, right around his temples and the front of his ears at his cheeks. He had the Stewie Griffin look going on, and it just didn't look quite right on him! I called Telehealth and they said that he needed to be seen by a doctor within the next few hours. Off we went to the walk-in clinic only to find it closed.... but there was a nurse standing at the doors and she took one look at Chris and said to take him to the hospital. So, off to the hospital we go. After waiting a few hours we finally saw a doctor only to be told that nothing was wrong with him. As the doctor said "I have no point of reference to know if his head is swollen or if he looks like this normally". Seriously?!?!? Here I am - the mom who has a camera shoved in her kids faces 24 hours a day and I DON'T have a picture to show the doctor of how he looked before! The really sad part is that I had just taken pics the night before that would have shown the difference no problem. But to reassure me the doctor continued "There's absolutely nothing wrong with your son.... right now. But when you leave here and if he starts to show any other weird symptoms, then come right back". Ummmmm, ok. I asked if it could be a reaction to a bug bite that was making him swell up, worried that the swelling would continue into his throat. I asked if there could be fluid in his head, or if he banged his noggin if it would swell like that on both sides. Nope, no way. We left the hospital, popsicle in hand, and Chris was perfectly fine.
Next morning, most of the swelling was gone. I asked at daycare if they had noticed anything or if maybe he had whacked his head. They said no, he was happy and playing all day, no accidents or mishaps. So I have NO IDEA what caused his head to swell.... but I sure wish I had taken a picture of him :) And now I know that I have to take a portfolio of pics with me if we ever have to take him back to the hospital!
Al was also in the hospital for swelling in his head. Last Friday he was treated at the same hospital for swelling... only he got antibiotics instead of a popsicle. I'm sure he felt ripped off at that ;)
Chris was with Jason and Al on Friday at the hospital. When I took him on Tuesday he asked me for numnums. I looked at the vending maching and said "no, no candy", thinking thats what he was talking about. He looked at me like I was a moron and pointed down the hallway, saying "We go down that hallway, mommy, go to Tim Hortons for numnums"!!! Then he told the doctor that the rubber gloves were not gloves after all - they were balloons. I'm sure that we provided plenty of entertainment for the rest of the people in the waiting room! I'm wondering now what Jason & Al were up to when they were at the hospital on Friday!
Uncle Bill is visiting from Maine - the kids are loving him! He got them each a webkinz today and they don't seem to want to part with it, even took it to bed with them. Cute :) He is even teaching them how to say "No problem" in Vietnamese - no idea how to spell it, but its cun chi now, or something like that. See, I'm learning something too!
Work. Work is another story completely! Let me just say that I am really proud of myself - our systems were down for almost 3 days last week, and when we were finally up & running I was able to close & pay out 110 deals in one day!!! Ok, so maybe I worked till midnight, got up early and worked my butt off all day to do it, but we still had the cheques in the courier bag by Friday. Oh yeah, pat on the back for me, I'm good and have no problem telling myself that ;)
Not sure what else to say other than I'm really tired. We've been out late every night for the last while and its starting to catch up with me. I wanted to read a bit more tonight, but I think I'll skip the book and go right to bed. Good night everyone!

Ok, different post tonight. Normally I post pics of the kids and you never get to see me. Tonight, that changes :) Here's me!
I actually got to go out last night, so I decided to curl my hair. I was so happy with how it turned out that I have to show everyone! Unfortunatly the curls didn't last too long, but I still loved it!
So that's it tonight! Good night :)

I've just recently discovered Google's street view camera. This thing rocks! I've just spent the last hour touring all over the world - I went to Hollywood, Las Vegas, tried to go to the White House, Ground Zero, Trafalgar Square.... you've gotta try it!
Here's a pic that I took that shows the street name where I grew up.... I took this pic because its got the Remax sign in it :)
And here's another little tour that I took, around and about London and I stopped at Big Ben to get a pic!
See what I mean - this is awesome :) The only problem is that I have NO sense of direction, so I'm even getting lost on the computer! But I'm having fun, and that's the main thing :)
P.S. Heather - you better have real pics of Big Ben when you get back!
