I don't know what to think about this. Yesterday, I received a letter in the mail with some good news for me. Nope, not Readers Digest saying "Congratulations! You've won 1 Million Dollars" unfortunately, but something else, well, interesting. Here's the story.

Quite a while back, I entered a contest online at picture.com then after a few days forgot all about it. Then yesterday I received a letter saying that my picture had made it to the semi finals of the Children's category in this competition. I am now entered to win the Grand Prize of $1000 and also the Annual Grand Prize of $10,000. But that's not all....

Seems like my picture is going to be published in a photography book to be published in Winter 2007. This is where I question the contest - do they offer this publication to everyone or do they really pick the best ones to put in this book? So I did my research online and from what I can find, this really is a legitimate thing! I found a forum where people were asking these very questions, and the answers were that most people never even heard from them after entering the contest, and that very few of the pictures are chosen for publication. They were saying it was an honour just to be recognized! I guess I am one of the lucky few who will have their picture published in this book!
