Well, time for an announcement..... I have a new man in my life. He is cute, and overly furry. His name is Fred. He's just an adorable little kitty! (What were you thinking?!?)
Anyways, Fred is an older cat. He's around 10-12 years old, and I rescued him from being put to sleep. His owner was moving to a place where he couldn't take his cats, and he could only find a home for his other cat. There were no shelters or humane societies that could take Fred. His only option was to make an appt to have him euthanized. I couldn't bear that happening, so he moved in tonight. Fred is perfect for me... he's older, loves to stretch out and lay around, and LOVES to be loved :) The kids seem to be ok with him so far. Chris is so gentle.... he keeps on petting him and saying "Fred my meow"! So cute ;)

Love cats but after the one I had for 18 years passed I said never again as it hurts to much. Your description of him fits me to a T. Best wishes for the both of you, Ken
Hate to say it, but after 5 days Fred ain't so cute anymore.... he meows ALL NIGHT!!! And I don't mean a little tiny meow, its a big loud MEEEOOOOOOWWWWWW that you could probably hear outside! Needless to say, no one has slept much this week ;)
